Note: Many teachers have asked about problems with fonts / text in Music Time Deluxe with Windows XP. Please note that I have had similar problems last year. You need the latest edition of Music Time Deluxe (3.5) to work with fonts and text / lyrics. The Adobe Post Script Type 1 does not work with Windows XP. The program generally crashes every time you use the text or lyrics in a composition. There is a forum available on Yahoo that answers questions that you might have about G-vox products. (I have switched to Sibelius Software as of 2003, due to the functions that I need to use the software for my classroom. I still use Music Time Deluxe and Encore occasionally.)
Learning Music Time Deluxe
Connecting keyboards to the computer (MIDI - interface cable, USB, serial )
Loading Music Time Deluxe software
Configure the keyboard to work with the computer (set the computer to play using your computer sound card or your keyboard.)
This is the back of your Yamaha keyboard. The switch must be set to PC2 when using your CCIBM cable. Be careful not to bend the pins on the cable when inserting it into the keyboard or computer. If you are using a regular MIDI interface cable, the switch will be set to MIDI. A regular MIDI interface cable will have to 5-pin MIDI plugs on one end, and a 15-pin joystick type plug on the other end.
Loading extra MIDI files to the computer (click on 'File', 'Open' and open the files from your hard drive, or floppy disk 'A')
